Power Apps for product creation in D365 F&O

Power Apps is a tool PowerPlatform which allows us to create applications without being a programming expert. Let's now see, in a simple way, how our application works, which we will create from a blank canvas application.

First, we'll connect the data to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

Then we will choose the environment we want to work with and select the table, which in our case will be ProductsV2.

Now we will insert a edit form and we will select the data that we have connected.

If we go to the right, we will see that in the form properties we see the selected fields and the data source. In the option to add fields we can include all those that seem useful to us. In our case we have added Product Type, Product Name and Product Number, but you can configure it however you want.

The only thing we would have left is to create a button that allows us to send the information. With the OnSelect property selected, in the formula bar we will write SubmitForm(Form1). This way we will send all the information that we enter in the form, called Form1.

We can put the application to our liking and we can try it.

We send our information and we can now check in D365 F&O that the product has been created correctly.
