Creating icons in Dynamics 365

What is an icon?

An icon is a box that alphanumerically displays specific information within a workspace.

How to create it?

We start from a table, in this case all projects.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We apply the filter that we want, in this example, we are going to filter all the projects with project stage in status created.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The next step would be to create the icon and assign it to the workspace we want.

If we return to the workspace in which we created the icon, it will already appear.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To display this newly created icon in the information panel, we right-click on the created icon and select personalize, then check the option pin to dashboard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At this moment, the alphanumeric information that we have created as an icon will be displayed in the information panel, within your workspace.
