At Emiral we start the year stepping on the accelerator to enter the world of virtual racing through a sponsorship agreement signed with the XBD racing team, which has been renamed XBD Emiral Racing.
In addition to the financial support, Emiral, as a technology partner, plans to develop for this virtual racing team several projects related to the analysis of racing data and the application of disruptive technologies such as machine learning.
These virtual races, also known as SimRacing, are a type of virtual sport where both amateurs and professionals compete live through platforms such as twitch or specialized portals. Regarding the sponsorship, Emiral’s CTO, Alberto Sánchez de la Fuente, highlights the company’s interest in supporting these virtual competitions: “We are a consulting firm that is always looking for innovation and to be ahead of technological advances. That is why, when we learned about this emerging discipline and met the XBD team, we did not hesitate to collaborate. In this way, we also unite our two passions: sport and technology”.
For his part, Balta Fernández, team leader of the XBD virtual racing team, thanked Emiral for its commitment to eSport and, specifically, to his team: “Emiral’s sponsorship has been an important economic and emotional boost for our team and our drivers. So far, few companies see these competitions as a great opportunity to gain visibility, as is the case with conventional advertising or programmatic advertising. We hope that more and more brands will help with their sponsorship to make these events more visible and have media support”.
Emiral is present on the virtual racing team’s competition vehicles with the brand’s logo. “We wish all the luck to the XBD virtual drivers and thank them for taking our brand because the great advantage the virtual environment has is that borders disappear and competitions can be seen from anywhere in the world,” concludes Emiral’s CTO.
