AI Builder vs Power Automate

In an increasingly digitalized business world, efficiency and automation are the key to staying competitive. In this context, Power Automate It is a fundamental tool to help us simplify and optimize the flows of our business.

But... What if you could take automation one step further, providing your workflows with artificial intelligence to make more informed decisions and carry out even more complex tasks? That's where AI Builder comes in, a revolutionary feature that fuses the power of Power Automate with advanced AI capabilities.

Power Automate It will allow us to automate these daily tasks and, furthermore, we will be able to do it without having any programming knowledge. The possibilities we have are very broad, from the automation of a workflow to the integration of applications and notifications in various channels.

AI Builder, for its part, is capable of taking process automation one step further. Add artificial intelligence to our flows, thanks to pre-trained models in different areas that are:

  • Natural language processing models. They can perform tasks like sentiment analysis, entity extraction, language detection, text summarization, etc.
  • Vision models. They perform tasks of object detection, facial recognition, image classification, etc.
  • Models of forms and documents. They extract information from forms and documents, such as dates, addresses, names...Using optical character processing (OCR) and natural language processing technology.
  • Prediction and recommendation models. These models can predict future outcomes or recommend actions based on historical data, such as time series models, product recommenders, etc.

Now we are going to take action with a very simple example, using Power Apps, Power Automate and AI Builder. First, we would just have to create a simple app, where employees can leave their anonymous reviews or suggestions.

We will connect the Power App with a Power Automate flow, where we will use AI builder.

It is when adding an action to the flow that we find the AI Builder option. This action, in turn, will show us a wide variety of models from different areas, as we have mentioned previously.

In our case, we have chosen to analyze the positive or negative opinion of the text. This way, we can configure to be notified by email if they leave a negative review. We also want the body of the message to indicate the probability that this text is negative.

We can configure that we also receive positive reviews, but the email template will be different and we could even send it to different people or departments. We have done this thanks to a condition in the flow.

Once the review is submitted through Power Apps, we will receive the email. As we can see, in the title it already mentions that the opinion, in this case, is negative and also includes the probability that this is the case.

In the example of a positive opinion, it would arrive like this:

This functionality that we have given as an example can be used on other channels, such as our Web pages where customers will write their reviews about our services and products. By being able to filter negative messages thanks to AI Builder, we will be able to act with more agility and precision on the problem.

In conclusion, Power Automate and AI Builder represent a powerful combination that can revolutionize the way we automate our workflows. By leveraging artificial intelligence, we can make faster and more accurate decisions, increase operational efficiency, and free up time to focus on strategic tasks.
